Fruit Salad for the Morning

Ingredients:

 

1 Tangerine or orange, peeled and separated with the slices cut in half

¼ Your choice of apple, cut into bite-size chunks

½ cup Red, purple or green grapes

1/3 cup Blueberries

½ cup Pineapple, cut into bite-size pieces (optional)

1/3 cup Strawberries, cut into bite-size pieces

¼ cup Walnuts, chopped

 

Directions:

 

Mix ingredients together in a serving bowl and enjoy. You can also increase the portion size of each to make enough so that you can store it and eat it as a breakfast or snack throughout the week. Just know that sliced fruit stored in the fridge lasts five to seven days or less, depending on how ripe it is to begin with.

 

Nuts to Yogurt

 

Ingredients:

 

1 to 1 ½ cups Vanilla yogurt

½ cup Flaxseed meal

¼ cup Raw almonds or walnuts, chopped or sliced

1 tablespoon Raw honey or agave syrup

 

Directions:

 

Stir all ingredients together in a serving bowl and enjoy.

 

* Note that this meal will have to be prepared daily, although it is easy enough to do so, otherwise the combined ingredients will get soggy. Also note that the measurements do not have to be exact, they can be altered depending on your desired level of consistency.
